Tinkering around camp can be a busy time. There’s firewood to chop, meals to cook and trucks to check. Keeping the general lighting dim makes it feel like camping. Having a headlamp at hand makes life easy for those tasks that need a little more light.

Black Diamond Spot 1

The Black Diamond Spot has a red mode. This is great soft light that doesn’t impact on night vision or attract bugs.

The Spot also allows for dimming between four and two hundred lumens, which gives you the choice between maximum brightness or maximum battery life. We tend to toggle between the modes and conserve batteries where we can.

Compact, bright and frugal the Black Diamond Spot is also waterproof with an IPX8 rating. Headlamps have certainly progressed.
