Snow Peak Mini Hozuki

The gas and kerosene camping lanterns of yesteryear had a warmth and character that many of us fondly associate with camping.

As technology has developed fragile mantles, bulky gas bottles and slimy kerosene has, for the most part, been replaced with practical and efficient yes, warm no – LED lights.

For us camping is about getting away. Away from the city, away from the bright lights of the home and office. I think for many it is the same – hence the common love for the campfire. NOTHING beats a campfire.

However for around camp, for the times when campfires aren’t an option and for in the tent – the warm light of Snow Peak’s Mini Hozuki has replaced the cool light of LED’s for us.

It’s rubber base is great to hold and play with and the magnetic loop is strong and handy.

Erith Island Hut, Bass Strait Sea Kayaking Expedition

The Mini Hozuki pictured above was donated (… accidently left behind) at the Erith Island hut. It’s a stunning place and we hope you enjoy the light if you are ever in the area!
