The Frankland River, Western Australia

The Frankland River, Western Australia

At 30 plus cumecs the Frankland River in Western Australia's south west is a seldom paddled cracker. This trip was at 31 cumecs at the Mount Frankland gauge

Mark Tait and Hew Roberts guide us through the crux rapid behind Mount Frankland

Shuttle the longer route around North Walpole Road, the short road is overgrown and has trees down. It's a stunning part of the world - pristine and few people - perfect!

A flooded put in always gets smiles.

The dark tannin coloured water brings back fond memories of Tasmania's pristine rivers.

Less scouting is better, let's go!
