Dr Benjamin Franklin Goodrich founded the first tyre factory in North America in 1870. Early on, BFGoodrich invested in an innovative tyre research centre. As a result, BFGoodrich began to stand out from the competition. In 1903, it provided the tyres for the Winton Touring Car, the first to cross the North American continent from east to west.
These days tyres can be an emotive topic for travellers. While we currently run BFGoodrich KM3s and have had a great run with them, if you choose a quality brand, look after them and replace them early, you should have fewer tyre-related issues.
