HULTAFORS

Hultafors axes are forged by hand. They have been crafted traditionally since 1697. At Hults Bruk in Östergötland, smiths produce axes with exceptional craftsmanship.

Axe heads are forged from Swedish axe steel of consistently high quality. The steel is struck repeatedly until the axe attains its final form. It's a labour-intensive and costly production method. Still, the process increases the steel's density and the axe's durability and life.

Hultafors' hardening method leaves a clear hard zone within which the axe can be sharpened whilst not detracting from the strength of the edge. Used correctly, Hultafors axes can last for generations.
